South Puget Sound Community College is looking for adjunct professors to teach the following courses for Fall 2008 and/or Winter 2009:
- ANATOMY and PHYSIOLOGY – teach lecture and lab portion of Anatomy and Physiology I and II. Master's degree in biology with course work in anatomy and physiology required.
- CHEMISTRY - Masters Degree in Chemistry or closely related science field. College level teaching experience desired
- DESKTOP PUBLISHING - Primary responsibility would be teaching desktop publishing using Adobe InDesign for fall quarter in a late afternoon class. There is potential for teaching other pieces of Adobe CS3 suite in future quarters. Current work experience required. Teaching experience desirable.
- ESL - SPSCC Basic Skills Program needs experienced adjunct ESL instructors for daytime and evening classes, all levels of coursework for immigrants and refugees. Marvin and Mottman campuses.
- FRENCH - to teach first-year French courses starting fall 2008. Masters Degree in French or closely related field and college-level teaching experience preferred.
- MATHEMATICS - to teach at the academic level. Masters Degree in Mathematics or closely related field and college-level teaching experience required. Applicants with lesser credentials will be considered for developmental courses. SPSCC prefers at least B.S. in Mathematics or M.Ed with emphasis in mathematics.
- OFFICE ADMINISTRATION - Teaching college-level courses in the Office Administration area to include keyboarding, word processing, and office procedures. Day and evening classes are available. Current related work experience or business education degree required.
- SPANISH - to teach first-year Spanish courses starting fall 2008. Masters Degree in Spanish or closely related field and college-level teaching experience preferred.
- MICROBIOLOGY - teach lecture and lab portion of microbiology course. Master's degree in biology with course work in microbiology required.
- PSYCHOLOGY - Primary teaching responsibility: General Psychology. Required: Master's degree in psychology; teaching experience at the college level.

- EXPERIENCED ADOBE AND MS OFFICE 2007 PART TIME TRAINERS NEEDED FOR DAY-LONG CLASSES – up to 12 days per month, $325+ per day.
- Customized Job Skills Training (CJST) - Teaching in any of the following areas: introductory/intermediate math and English, basic computer and office skills (Microsoft Office, filing, keyboarding and 10-key) and life work skills. Masters Degree in related field; experience teaching non-traditional students and/or WorkFirst programs preferred. Interested individuals must be able to teach in highly structured environment requiring adherence to program rules. This short term training program leads to employment for successful graduates; requires instructors who have a basic understanding of career development and local labor market trends and preferences.
