Inclement Weather

When potential weather disruptions occur, all college staff and students should monitor www.schoolreport.org or listen to local radio stations for possible closure information and other instructions.

Decisions regarding college closure will normally be made by 5:30 a.m. on the day in question and broadcast shortly thereafter. Decisions regarding evening classes may be made later in the day and might not observe the same type of closure as day classes. The classes may be delayed for an hour or more or canceled for later make up. The college closure information will be updated on the school report Web site at 10:00 a.m. and at
3:00 p.m.

The following television and radio stations, listed by their call letters and frequency, participate in the Public Schools Emergency Communications System and will provide closure information. Information specific to evening classes will also be broadcast over the radio.

College Closure Types

The following college closure types may be used depending on conditions present.

Classes Canceled
Classes are canceled and students are not expected to be on campus. However, normal work schedules and expectations exist for all employees. Those employees who, in their judgment, do not wish to report for work due to the conditions present must request annual leave, accrued compensatory time, where applicable, or leave without pay.

Campus Closed
The campus is closed to all students and college employees. Some employees may be called to work. All other employees will be required to request annual leave, accrued compensatory time, where applicable, or leave without pay.
