South Puget Sound supports small business boom

OLYMPIA, Washington - Make the most of your small business venture through six business management courses offered this winter by South Puget Sound Community College's Community Education program. These evening and weekend classes are dedicated to helping entrepreneurs maximize their business savvy by offering an inside look at small business ownership.

Three established courses, Hot Home Based Businesses to Start for Under $1,000, Make Money with Your Computer and Customer Service: The Gold in the Golden Rule, outline business start-up and maintenance basics. Three new courses, Insurance Requirements for the Small Business Owner, Franchise Fundamentals and Small Business Retirement Plans, give small business owners tips on creating and sustaining feasible financial plans.

In all courses students will have opportunities to share experiences and strategies and may bring business documents, such as current retirement plans, to appropriate courses for individual overviews. All courses are taught by marketing and financial consultants and small business development professionals. Course fees range from $45 - $85.

Community Education classes are non-credit courses for the community. For more information, a schedule of classes or to register, contact the Community Education Office at 596-5365.
