College seeks art gallery exhibition proposals

OLYMPIA, Washington – The Gallery at the Kenneth J. Minnaert Center for the Arts at South Puget Sound Community College is seeking exhibition proposals for the 2006–2007 season. Proposals are due March 17. The 1,000-square foot Gallery boasts white, ¾-inch plywood walls, track lighting and a 15-foot, in-ceiling Unistrut grid system. The space is suited to installation art and is also wired for media art.

Solo exhibits must submit the following: a letter of interest outlining the proposed exhibit; an exhibition resume and artist statement; ten to 20 slides (or on-disc images) of recent work that gives an accurate indication of the quality and theme of work to be exhibited. Include title, media, dimensions, and date completed; and a self addressed stamped envelope for return of materials.

Group exhibits must submit a letter of interest outlining the proposed exhibit; brief background information on each artist, e.g. short, one paragraph bio and list of selected exhibits; and at least one image of work by each artist that reflects the quality and theme of work to be exhibited.

Proposals must be hand delivered or mailed to:
