College offers Saturday PowerPoint instruction

This spring quarter South Puget Sound Community College offers a Saturday morning course in the popular presentation software, PowerPoint. The mid-quarter offering will run Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. starting April 22 and ending June 3.

The class (CIS 111 PowerPoint) provides an overview of Powerpoint. Those taking the class will explore creating and editing presentations, importing text and graphics, applying templates and animation, and more. The subject matter and Saturday offering could work well for K-12 teachers and busy working adults interested in gaining skill in the software. Students must have experience using Windows-based software.

Registration for this mid-spring quarter courses is currently open. Regular spring quarter classes begin April 3, 2006. For more information on South Puget Sound Community College and its programs, visit the college online through the college website: www.spscc.ctc.edu.
