College to hold AAA driver improvement course
for 55+

OLYMPIA, Washington – Hone your driving skills with a specially designed driver improvement course offered through South Puget Sound Community College’s Community Education program. The day-long class, co-sponsored by the American Automobile Association (AAA) and Seattle-based American Driving Services, offers defensive driving tips and Washington State motor vehicle law updates to drivers 55 and older.

The class will be held Saturday, April 29 from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on the South Puget Sound Community College campus. Topics include managing visibility, communication, adjusting speed, driving emergencies and more. Completion of this course may qualify students for auto-insurance premium discounts. Instructor Daniel Lilleness has extensive experience teaching driver’s education courses.

The course fee is $16. Please note that pre-registration is required; for more information or for registration materials, please call the Office of Community Education at (360) 596-5365. Community Education courses are non-credit courses available to the community. Students are encouraged to bring a sack lunch.
