Author Dinesh D’Souza leads off college Artists and Lectures Series

OLYMPIA --South Puget Sound Community College will open its 2006 Artists and Lecture Series with a presentation by Dinesh D’Souza, one of the nation’s most popular and acclaimed speakers for business and university audiences, on Thursday, October 5th in the new Kenneth J. Minnaert Center for the Arts.

D’Souza has been a featured guest on many popular television programs, including the Today Show, Nightline, O’Reilly Factor, Good Morning America, and The Dennis Miller Show. He speaks at top universities and to business groups across the country, including recent engagements at the annual World President’s Organization Conference, Forbes CEO Summit, Harvard University, and the University of Virginia. The topic for this presentation will be What’s So Great About America, after the title of his most recent book (A New York Times bestseller).

D’Souza is currently the Robert and Karen Rishwain Fellow at the Hoover Institution at Stanford University, and has been hailed as one of the “top young public-policy makers in the country” by Investor’s Business Daily. He served from 1987-88 as senior policy analyst in the Reagan Administration, and has published a multitude of influential books and articles, inciting political controversy and national acclaim.

The presentation will be held in the main stage theater of the Minneart Center on the South Puget Sound Community College campus.
