Cohen to play at South Puget Sound Community College

Pianist Judith Cohen’s concert on Jan. 13 at 8 p.m. kicks off entertainment in 2007 at South Puget Sound Community College’s Kenneth J. Minnaert Center for the Arts.

The performance, which includes music by Scarlatti, Rachmaninoff, Bartok, and Bernstein, is part of the Adams Foundation Piano Series. Tickets can be purchased at www.spscc.ctc.edu/CFA or by calling 360-596-5501. Prices are $20 for general admission, $15 for seniors and South Puget Sound staff, and $10 for students.

Winner of the 1984 Pacific International Piano Competition, Cohen has appeared as a soloist throughout the United States and Europe. Currently, she works as artistic director of the Governor’s Chamber Music Series, a position she assumed in 1989. While there, she has planned and performed chamber music concerts throughout the Pacific Northwest.
