Music trio plays South Puget Sound Community College

The Amici Chamber Series at South Puget Sound Community College’s Kenneth J. Minnaert Center for the Arts continues on Jan. 20 at 8 p.m. with the Chinook Trio.

Featuring Holly Reeves on cello, the piano playing of Bruce Berry, and Mary Manning’s violin, the trio will give a performance that includes music from Beethoven and Schumann. Tickets can be purchased at www.spscc.ctc.edu/CFA or by calling 360-596-5501. Prices are $20 for general admission, $15 for seniors and South Puget Sound staff, and $10 for students.

Reeves, Berry, and Manning are active performers and teachers in the Pacific Northwest. Collectively, they hold degrees from the Oberlin Conservatory, the Eastman School of Music, and the Julliard School and occupy positions in the Olympia Symphony, the Northwest Sinfonietta, and the Tacoma Opera Orchestra.

ABOUT THE MINNAERT CENTER: The Kenneth J. Minnaert Center for the Arts, South Puget Sound Community College’s signature building, houses a 500-seat main stage theater, the Black Box Theater, an exhibition gallery, and state-of-the-art music facilities. In addition, the building’s classrooms for art labs and choral and instrumental music rehearsals offer home bases for the college’s humanities and communication programs.
