South Puget Sound Community College jazzes it up with Lulu LaFever

At 7 p.m. on April 13, jazz singer and musician Lulu LaFever shakes up South Puget Sound Community College’s Kenneth J. Minnaert Center for the Arts. The performance includes music from her album, “A Little Night Music.”

With an infectious personality and a voice reminiscent of Ella Fitzgerald and Nina Simone, LaFever delivers a breath of fresh air for audiences looking for true entertainment. She combines smoldering jazz, sultry blues, and hot swing to create a style that has earned her a grant from the Oregon Coast Arts Council as well as chances to open for Big Bad Voodoo Daddy and Willie Nelson.

Tickets can be purchased at www.spscc.ctc.edu/CFA or by calling 360-596-5501. Prices are $10 for general admission and $5 for seniors, South Puget Sound staff, and non-South Puget Sound students. The performance is free for students from South Puget Sound.
