South Puget Sound Community College offers chance to meet with potential employers
South Puget Sound Community College will host its annual Career Day on May 1 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Student Union Building on the college’s main campus. 2008 marks the 20th year for Career Day at the college.
For students about to graduate, Career Day represents an important step toward employment. The event provides an opportunity to network and explore career opportunities offered by more than 80 employers. Admission is free. Employers participating in Career Day include various state agencies as well as non-profit, private, retail, health care, finance, military, municipal and local businesses.
Besides being a convenient resource for the college’s current full-time and Running Start students, Career Day is also open to individuals who have attended South Puget Sound in the past.
Attendees should bring their résumés and/or portfolios and dress in professional attire. Also, parking is limited, so those who can carpool are encouraged to do so.
