South Puget Sound Community College offers driver improvement course

On Sept. 29 from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., South Puget Sound Community College offers a AAA driver improvement course for drivers 55 and older.

The course, which costs $16 per person and will be held in Bldg. 22, Room 209 on the college’s main campus, informs motorists about updates to Washington state’s vehicle laws and helps them hone their skills with defensive-driving techniques. Topics include managing visibility, communication, adjusting speed, driving emergencies and more. After completing the course, drivers may qualify for discounts to their car insurance premiums. Instructor Daniel Lilleness has extensive experience in teaching driver-education courses.

To request registration materials, please call 360-596-5365. Those who enroll are encouraged to bring a brown-bag lunch. The course is co-sponsored by American Driving Services of Seattle and offered through the college’s Community Education Program.
