South Puget Sound Community College hosts Money Wise Women Forum
On Oct. 20 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., the Money Wise Women Forum will take place in South Puget Sound Community College’s Kenneth J. Minnaert Center for the Arts.
The forum helps women learn to increase their financial well-being and avoid making mistakes with money. Along with sessions on subjects such as retirement, mortgages, budgeting and investing, the forum features three keynote speakers: Marcia Brixey, author of “Becoming a Money Wise Woman: Getting Your Financial House in Order”; Mikelann Valterra, author of “Why Women Earn Less: How to Make What You’re Really Worth”; and Lisa Quast, author of “Your Career, Your Way: Personal Strategies to Achieve Your Career Aspirations.”
The fee for early registration, which lasts through Oct. 12, is $25. For those who register after Oct. 12, the fee is $35. Registration fees cover lunch, coffee, an afternoon snack, and all forum sessions and materials.
Scholarships are available for individuals who cannot afford the registration fee (please send an e-mail explaining your circumstances to conference planner Jan Malone at mwwjan@comcast.net). Scholarships are limited, so those who are interested should apply soon.
