Regional Juried Art Exhibit back at South Puget Sound Community College

In January, South Puget Sound Community College’s Kenneth J. Minnaert Center for the Arts hosts the third annual Regional Juried Art Exhibit. A reception from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Jan. 4 opens the exhibit, which runs through the end of the month.

The Regional Juried Art Exhibit emphasizes the connection between the college and the community; it also demonstrates the resources provided to visual artists by the art gallery at the Minnaert Center and showcases the abundant talent found in the region. This year, watercolor artist Scott Mulhalland won the Juror’s Award, which includes the offer of a solo exhibit at the Minnaert Center during the following year. Rock Hushka, the curator of the Tacoma Art Museum, served as this year’s juror.

Hours for the gallery at the Minnaert Center are Tuesday through Saturday from noon to 5 p.m.
