Adult Basic Education

ABE classes help students brush up on basic reading, English, math and computer skills. These classes are offered in the morning, afternoon and evening at the main campus in Olympia. Classes are also available at various other locations around the area, including the Hawks Prairie Center in Lacey, Community Youth Services in downtown Olympia, Yelm Middle School, and others.

ABE classes cost $25 per quarter. Fall Quarter is September 22- December 5. ABE/GED entrance appraisals are held before and during the quarter, and students can enter a Fall class anytime between September 22 and October 10. If a student starts class at the beginning of the quarter or in the middle, the cost is the same - $25.

Step #1: Choose ONE of the dates below to take the ABE entrance appraisal:

Step #2: Call (360) 754-7711 ext. 4502. Leave a message with your NAME, PHONE NUMBER and the DATE you want to take the ABE entrance appraisal. No one will call you back. Just come to the appraisal.

Step #3: Come to the ABE entrance appraisal. At the test, we will discuss what class is right for you and your schedule. The appraisal will take 1-2 hours.

Main Campus, 2011 Mottman Road SW, Olympia.

For free parking when you come for your entrance appraisal, go to the Security Office in Building 25 and ask for a visitor parking permit. Use the rear entrance.
