Photo and Bio Requirements

Each community and technical college with a student on the 2008 All-Washington Team is asked to provide a photograph and short bio of their students for the recognition ceremony booklet. Bios and photos submission deadline is Jan 25, 2008.

The Student Bios

Please write a 60-70 word bio on each of your college's nominees. Be sure to include their age, GPA and major. A pronunciation guide to your student's name will be helpful, as students will be announced at the ceremony. All of the information needed usually can be found in the student’s nomination application. Please provide the information in the following format:

Student Name:
Age:
GPA:
Major:

(Sample bio narrative) After an injury closed the door on his career as a chef, Brad re-evaluated his life's direction to ensure his family's survival. Pierce College immediately became his niche. It wasn't long before he found himself active in Phi Theta Kappa; tutoring math and sciences at Pierce; and volunteering as an elementary school tutor. He plans to attain dual bachelor of science degrees in computer engineering and physics.

The Student Photos

We like the photos about 1 1/4” wide by 1 3/4” high. We need a tight, head and shoulder shot. Please save the photos at no less than 250 dpi and no more than 300 dpi.

Please e-mail bios and photos to the following address: kbraseth@spscc.ctc.edu.
