- New Century Scholar
-
The New Century Scholars program is sponsored annually by the American Association of Community Colleges (AACC), The Coca-Cola Foundation, the Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation and Phi Theta Kappa. The program honors the student from each state team with the highest All-USA Academic Team application score. Washington's New Century Scholar will represent the state in the opening ceremonies at the AACC Convention. Each New Century Scholar will receive a $2,000 scholarship and each institution will receive special recognition at the AACC Convention.
Washington's New Century Scholar should be named by February 29, 2009.

Central Washington University $2,400 scholarships

Eastern Washington University One $2,000 scholarship
Eastern is offering a $2,000 scholarship to one member of the 2009 All-Washington Team to attend the university Fall 2009 – Spring 2010. If more than one team member enrolls, Eastern will determine who receives the scholarship. If the recipient maintains a 3.5 cumulative GPA, the scholarship may be renewed for a second year — totaling $4,000. Eastern further encourage team members to apply for their Transfers Academic Honors Scholarship and EUW Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship.Contact: Kandi Teeters, Asst. The Evergreen State College $750 scholarships

University of Washington Ten $5,400 scholarships
UW will award tuition waiver scholarships to ten 2009 All-Washington team members who transfer to the Seattle, Bothell or Tacoma campuses. Each award will have a value of $5,400 and will be distributed over a two-year period ($2,700 each year). Recipients must enroll in at least 12 credits each quarter and make satisfactory progress toward a degree. If more than ten team members enroll in UW, the university will determine who receives the scholarships.UW encourages team members interested in transferring to notify the university of their intentions as soon as possible:

Washington State University Ten $1,000 scholarships
WSU will award scholarships to ten 2009 All-Washington team members who transfer to the any of the universities campuses. The $1,000 scholarships per academic year are non-renewable. If more than ten team members enroll in WSU, the university will determine who receives the scholarships.WSU encourages team members interested in transfer to notify the university of their intentions as soon as possible:

Western Washington University $500 President Scholarships; $2,000/Seattle Business Forum Scholarship. Western will offer a $2,000 Seattle Business Forum Scholarship and a $500 President’s Scholarship to any 2009 All-Washington Team members who enroll in the University.

City University Four $1,000 scholarships

Gonzaga University Three $1,500 scholarships
Gonzaga University is offering up to three $1,500 scholarships to 2009 All-Washington Academic Team members who enroll at the college for the 2009-2010 academic year. Heritage University Two $1,000 scholarships
Heritage University will award a $1,000 scholarship to two All-Washington team members who transfer to any of the university’s campuses for the 2009-10 academic year. University of Puget Sound Three $14,000 scholarships
The University of Puget Sound is offering up to three $14,000 scholarships to 2009 All-Washington Team members who enroll at Puget Sound. If more than five team members enroll, the University will determine who receives the scholarships. Each recipient must be enrolled as a full-time student for at least three (3.0) units per semester. The scholarship is renewable up to a maximum of four years or eight semesters, provided the student maintains a 2.5 cumulative grade point average during the first year following transfer and a 2.8 cumulative grade point average the following year(s).
