Transfer Scholarships

All of Washington’s public and and many independent four-year colleges and universities have recognized the outstanding accomplishments of the members of the All-Washington Academic Team by offering a variety scholarship support to the 2012 All-Washington Academic Team members who transfer to their institutions. 

 

PUBLIC BACCALAUREATE INSTITUTIONS

Central Washington University

$1,050 scholarships
Central will offer $1,050 scholarships to any member of the 2012 All-Washington Team who enrolls in the University in Fall 2012.Contact: Amelia Black, Assistant Director of Financial Aid/Scholarships at or (509) 963-2474.

Eastern Washington University

One $2,000 scholarship
Eastern is offering a $2,000 scholarship to one member of the 2012 All-Washington Team to attend the university Fall 2012 – Spring 2013.  If more than one team member enrolls, Eastern will determine who receives the scholarship through a competitive application process.  If the recipient maintains a 3.5 cumulative GPA, the scholarship may be renewed for a second year — totaling $4,000.

The Evergreen State College

$1,500 scholarship
The Evergreen State College is offering a $1,500 scholarship to any member of the 2012 All-Washington Team who enrolls at the college.Contact: Michele Elhardt, Scholarship Program Coordinator, (360) 867-6310,

Washington State University

Ten $1,000 scholarships
WSU will award scholarships to ten 2012 All-Washington team members who transfer to the any of the universities campuses. The $1,000 scholarships per academic year are non-renewable. If more than ten team members enroll in WSU, the university will determine who receives the scholarships.

Western Washington University

$2,000 scholarships
Western will offer a $2,000 in scholarships to any 2012 All-Washington Team members who enroll in the University.Contact: Kayle Walls, Asst. Director, college relations and transfer articulation; or 360-650-3442;

University of Washington

Ten $6,000 scholarships
UW will award tuition waiver scholarships to ten 2012 All-Washington team members who transfer to the Seattle, Bothell or Tacoma campuses. Each award will have a maximum value of $6,000 and will be distributed over a two-year period ($3,000 maximum each year).  Recipients must enroll in at least 12 credits each quarter and make satisfactory progress toward a degree. If more than ten team members enroll in UW, the university will determine who receives the scholarships.

INDEPENDENT BACCALAUREATE INSTITUTIONS

City University

$1,000 scholarships
City University will annually offer $1,000 scholarships to any 2012 All-Washington Academic Team members who enroll at the university.In addition, All-Washington team members are eligible for City University’s Transfer Scholarship Program.  Visit www.cityu.edu/transferscholarshipprogram/ for details and to apply. Gonzaga University

Three $1,500 scholarships
Gonzaga University is offering up to three $1,500 scholarships to 2011 All-Washington Academic Team members who enroll at the college for the 2011-2012 academic year.  If more than three team members enroll, Gonzaga will determine who will receive the scholarship. Pacific Lutheran University

Five $1,000 scholarships
Pacific Lutheran University is offering up to five $1,000 scholarships to 2012 All-Washington Academic Team members who enroll at the unversity. Seattle Pacific University

$9,000 scholarships
Seattle Pacific University is offering $9,000 in scholarships to any member of the 2012 All-Washington Team who enroll full time at SPU with and a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or above and complete their transfer degree prior to enrolling at SPU. Saint Martin's University

$2,500 scholarships
Saint Martin's University will offer $2,500 scholarships to any 2012 All-Washington Academic Team member who enrolls at the university. In addition SMU offers $1,000 scholarships to PTK members with a 3.5 cumulative GPA, admitted by March 1.  Contact: Juan Flores, Dean of Admissions and Student Financial Services, , (360) 486-8860.

Seattle University

$10,000 and $12,000 scholarships
Seattle U is offering $10,000 and $12,000 scholarships to members of the All-Washington Team who complete minimally 36 transferable credit hours and have a 3.5 of better grade point average. Contact: Gwen Jackson, Assistant Director of Admissions, by e-mail at or call (206) 296-5811.


University of Puget Sound

Three $2,000 scholarships
The University of Puget Sound is proud to offer up to three $2,000 scholarships to All-Washington Team members who enroll at Puget Sound.  The All Washington Team scholarships will be granted in addition to any merit scholarships students might also be eligible for; Puget Sound’s merit scholarships range from $4,000 – $18,000. If more than three team members enroll, the University will determine who receives the scholarships. Each recipient must be enrolled as a full-time student for at least three (3.0) units per semester.  The scholarship is renewable up to a maximum of ten semesters, provided the student meets the guidelines for satisfactory academic progress. Interested students are encouraged to notify the University of their intentions as soon as possible. Walla Walla University

Whitman College

Five $2,500 scholarships

Whitworth University

Three $1,500 scholarships
