REGISTRATION

Graduates please register the number of guests you expect to attend at: Register For Commencement Online Now!

PARKING

Parking permits are not required.  Parking lots “D” and “29” are best suited to park closer to the ceremony.  A drop-off area for graduates and guests with limited mobility is available in parking lot “D”. Adequate disability parking is available on campus. Arrive early for best possible parking and seating. Sign Ushers are available to assist with open seating for guests. Language interpreters will be signing during ceremony. For more information on disability parking see SPCC Campus Map at: http://www.spscc.ctc.edu/map-and-directions. Special Seating is available during the ceremony for those who need disability accommodations. GRADUATES REQUIRED TO SIGN-IN

You must sign in between 5:00 pm to 5:30 pm at the tables located inside the GYM, Building 31, to receive your Sign-In cards. You will receive two cards listing your name and your degree or certificate. You will hand one card to the photographer as you enter the platform. You will hand the other card to name reader as you cross the stage during ceremony. As you cross the platform, College President, Timothy Stokes will congratulate you and present you with a Diploma Cover. (Your actual diploma will be mailed to you in a few months.) A photo will be taken by Ceremony Photographers as you exit the platform stage. All Graduates participating in the Commencement Ceremony will wear the traditional Cap & Gown available for purchase in College Bookstore Mid-May through June. Cap & Gown will NOT be available at Sign-In.

PROCESSIONAL

Staff members will help you line up for the processional beginning at 5:30 PM in the Gym.  The line-up order of processional is:  1) administrators and faculty and stage guests 2) graduates in single file. Graduates may line up with friends in any order you wish. You will receive further instructions when you arrive in the Gym. Ushers will provide direction throughout the ceremony. 

RECESSIONAL

The ceremony will end with the formal recessional.  The president will lead the platform party from the stage.  Please remain in your seats until the platform party has cleared the area.  Once the platform party has exited, the ceremony has officially concluded and you may then greet your guests.  The ceremony traditionally lasts until approximately 7:30 p.m.

PHOTOS

A professional photographer will take your photo during the ceremony as you cross the stage and exit stage with your diploma. The Photographer will send you an email which will include promotional information for ordering photographs online. Photographer will be on campus from 3:30 pm until 5:00 pm for individual sessions – meet at entry to gymnasium, Building 31.

IN EVENT OF RAIN

No change will occur Rain or Shine.  Please bring precautions such as umbrellas, towels to wipe chairs, etc.

LOCKER ROOM

for showering and changing clothes is available in GYM building 31.  Locker space is not available.

TELEVISION

The ceremony will be taped by TCTV.  A schedule of viewing times will be available at: http://www.tctv.net/
