*Items used in library may not be renewed.

**These are high demand items, and there may be a waiting list. If so, renewals are not allowed.

Items are normally not checked out past the end of the current quarter. Example: A book that is checked out 21 days before the end of the quarter would be checked out only until the end of the quarter, not for the full 28 days.

What Happens If You Have an Overdue Item?

We send out overdue notices one day after an item is due. When an item becomes overdue by one week, a fine equal to the value of the item is placed on your record. If you have any fines on your record you will not be able to receive your grades, official transcript or graduate. If you have fines over $250 you will have a registration block, which means you will not be able to register for classes, including add/drop.

If you return the item(s) in good condition, the fines will be removed. You may also pay the fines. If the overdue item is found or returned, in good condition, after the fines are paid, you will receive a refund.

Using Items Between Quarters

During the last week of the quarter students, staff, and faculty may request to have items checked out to them over the quarter break. This is done on a case by case basis at the discretion of the Library Supervisor. These items are usually due back on the first day of the next quarter.
