Because of cold temperatures preventing necessary concrete work, the Crosby Road and Mottman Road entrance closures at South Puget Sound Community College, originally slated to begin this weekend to allow for gate installation, have been postponed.

The first closure, now of the Mottman Road entrance, has tentatively been rescheduled for Monday, Dec. 14 at 7 a.m. through Wednesday, Dec. 16 at 7 p.m. This closure does not affect Intercity Transit busses, but students, staff, faculty and visitors should plan on using the Crosby Road or 29th Avenue entrances to the college.

The second closure, of Crosby Road, is now tentatively scheduled for Wednesday, Dec. 23 and Thursday, Dec. 24. During this closure, Intercity Transit busses will use the Mottman Road entrance. Students, staff, faculty and visitors should plan on using the Mottman or 29th Avenue entrances.

Both of these closures are tentative depending on weather conditions at those times.

The new gates will only be closed when campus is closed (for example, last year’s snow storm).

For additional information about the closures, contact the Campus Security and Parking Office at (360)596-5299.
