North Campus Electrical Shutdown Planned for April

South Puget Sound Community College will be without electricity for a weekend in April for the planned installation of a new electrical feeder.

The electrical shutdown, which will begin at 11 p.m. Saturday, April 17 and continue through 3 p.m. Sunday, April 18, will encompass the north campus, a section that includes buildings 14, 15, 16, 20, 21, 22, 25, 26, 27 and 28.

In addition, all Internet and telephone service will be suspended college-wide, including the Hawks Prairie campus, during the shutdown.

The new feeder upgrade had been planned in conjunction with powering up the new Anthropology, CAD and Geomatics Building (Building 23), which is slated to open in late June.
