Still searching for that perfect Mother’s Day gift? Procrastination leave you empty handed? Fear not, as the 36th annual Mother’s Day Plant Sale at South Puget Sound Community College is here in time to save her big day.

The plant sale, put on by the South Puget Sound Community College Horticulture Program, takes place at the campus green house and potting shed on Friday, May 7 from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. and on Saturday May 8 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. This will be the second sale in the new greenhouse after it opened last year to rave reviews.

Herbs, trees, annuals, perennials, native plants, vegetables, hanging baskets and more are available this year, as well as tours on both days of the college’s renowned Japanese Maple collection. Several new plants will be available this year as well.

More information about the plant sale, including times of the Japanese Maple tours, is available online at http://hort.spscc.edu/node/13. More information is also available from Horticulture Professor Peter Punzi at or via phone at (360) 596-5473.
