Hawaiian-born and Harvard-educated Eileen Yoshina, director of diversity and equity, has brought her passion for education, equity and social justice to the college and its students, and is spreading the message that diversity is diverse.

Michael and Gail Shurgot’s commitment to student opportunity and excellence didn’t retire when they did. In their post-work life, the retired professor and his wife have ensured that their annual scholarship becomes a legacy for them and the college.
