South Puget Sound Community College art students shine every day with their creative works in the classroom. Now, they will share their creativity at the college’s annual Student Art Exhibit, beginning Wednesday, May 18 at the Kenneth J. Minnaert Center for the Arts Gallery.

Showcasing works as varied as the students themselves, this year’s art show features work by South Puget Sound students created this school year (summer 2010 through spring 2011) and includes paintings, prints, ceramics, sculpture, water color, drawing and digital photography.

The Student Art Exhibit begins Wednesday, May 18 and runs through Thursday, June 16. A special reception will take place on Friday, May 20 from 6 to 8 p.m. in the gallery.

The Kenneth J. Minnaert Center for the Arts Gallery is open Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from noon to 4 p.m. and by special appointment. For more information about this event or about the gallery, call (360)596-5527 or via e-mail at .
