The Museum of Glass Mobile Hot Shop Team is ready to put its glass-blowing prowess on display at South Puget Sound Community College. The museum’s mobile outreach crew will be on campus on Thursday, April 18 and Friday, April 19.

The glass-blowing demonstrations will take place in front of the Kenneth J. Minnaert Center for the Arts on April 18 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and on April 19 from 4:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Friday’s demo will be in conjunction with the artist’s reception for the Native American Heritage Art Exhibit, which takes place from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the Minnaert Center Gallery. Both days will feature special guest Native American glass blower Dan Friday demonstrating the process of creating glass art live. The Mobile Hot Shop team will also be creating live works, as well as answer questions.

The Museum of Glass, founded in 2002 and located in downtown Tacoma, features glass works from prominent artists, most notably Dale Chihuly.
