South Puget Sound Community College has long had strong connections with the Washington State Employees Credit Union (WSECU). Now the partnership has deepened with the credit union's support of the college's Center for Career Services.

South Puget Sound Community College announced the renaming of its Center for Career Services, now the WSECU Center for Career Services.

“We are honored that WSECU supports our students in their transition from college to the workplace by providing the naming gift for our Center for Career Services,” South Puget Sound President Timothy Stokes said. “WSECU's gift to SPSCC is evidence of their strong commitment to the community and efforts to increase educational attainment for the region.”

The WSECU Center for Career Services, opening in the new College Center (building 22) when its renovations are completed this winter, serves more than 2,000 students. It provides students with access to job and internship opportunities, career planning, resume workshops, and a number of other tools meant to help students transition from college into the job market.

“WSECU’s history of supporting public employees and outstanding community assets like SPSCC makes this partnership a perfect fit,” Ann Flannigan, WSECU’s Vice President of Public Relations, said. “The credit union is proud to support South Sound students as they begin to move into their careers following the outstanding education they receive at the college.”

WSECU is a member-owned credit union serving the people of Washington State with an unmatched commitment to members’ success and to fostering shared prosperity for the community.
