This spring, South Puget Sound Community College film students take center stage for the Student Films Showcase. The showcase, which takes place June 22 at the Kenneth J. Minnaert Center for the arts, gives students an opportunity to show off their short films and videography know-how in front of a public audience.
As of Monday, June 22, South Puget Sound Community College will begin operating on summer hours.
The college’s Olympia campus will be open for business from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday. The Enrollment Services Office in the Center for Student Success will operate from 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, and 7:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The college will be closed on Fridays.
Hawks Prairie Center will be open 7:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Fridays.

Washington Small Business Development Centers named Ron Nielson, the Director of Small Business Development at South Puget Sound Community College’s Small Business Development Center (SBDC), the organization’s 2014 Star Performer. The announcement came at the group’s recent spring meetings.
The South Puget Sound College Orchestra is planning a refreshing return to summer, performing classics by Beethovan, Smetana, Strauss and other notable composers. The orchestra returns to the Kenneth J. Minnaert Center for the Arts Mainstage on June 13.
The 10th Annual Student Art Exhibition will be held in The Gallery at the Kenneth J. Minnaert Center for the Arts from May 11 through June 12. An opening reception will take place on Friday, May 15 from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Gallery.
The sounds of America will ring through the halls of the Kenneth J. Minnaert Center for the Arts this spring.
The South Puget Sound Community College Drama Program presents “An Evening of Comedy,” beginning May 28 at the Kenneth J. Minnaert Center for the Arts Black Box Theater.
The college staff will be attending an all-campus meeting.
