On Saturday, March 2, middle-school-aged girls in the south Puget Sound region will have the opportunity to take part in the Expanding Your Horizons conference. Since 1975, more than 800,000 girls nationwide have been exposed to math, science and technology through the conference.

Feb 12th, 2013   College services unavailable late afternoon Feb. 13

Services at South Puget Sound Community College will be unavailable from 3:00 – 5 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2013.  College employees will be attending an all-campus meeting. Evening classes will run as normal Feb. 13. Services at the college will be available as normal Thursday, Feb. 14.

Feb 6th, 2013   ‘My Kind of Place’ Closing Reception Approaching

“My Kind of Place,” the second annual Fine Art Postcard Exhibit at the Kenneth J. Minnaert Center for the Arts Gallery, will see its run come to a close at the special closing reception on Friday, Feb. 15. The closing reception, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the gallery, will be the final chance to bid in the silent auction. Bidding will officially end at 7 p.m. on Feb. 15.

Dec 24th, 2012   Stokes Accepts Presidency of South Puget Sound

Dr. Timothy Stokes will be the next president of South Puget Sound Community College.  Stokes accepted the job offer, which was extended by unanimous vote of the college’s Board of Trustees during its Dec. 14, 2012, meeting.  He will assume the post Feb. 1, 2013.

The Board of Trustees of South Puget Sound Community College voted to extend a job offer to Dr. Timothy Stokes to serve as the next president of the institution. The decision to extend the offer was reached after a unanimous vote during the Board’s Dec. 14 meeting.

Dec 6th, 2012   Candidate Stokes to visit community and college Dec. 11

OLYMPIA — The last of five candidates for president of South Puget Sound Community College will visit the campus and community, Tuesday, Dec. 11.  Dr. Timothy S. Stokes, executive vice president for Academic and Student Affairs at Tacoma Community College in Tacoma, Washington, will tour the campus and community, meet faculty and staff, visit with the Board of Trustees, and take part in an open forum for the community and campus.
