Now, a range of artists interprets the significance of one of nature’s most abundant organic materials in The Meaning of Wood, this spring at The Gallery at the Kenneth J. OLYMPIA -- In a move to boost the number of nurses with bachelor’s degrees in Washington, the community and technical college system and four-year universities have struck a landmark agreement to create a shorter, smoother process for students to achieve the degree. A new statewide Associate in Nursing transfer agreement standardizes the way credits are awarded and accepted between and among Washington’s community and technical colleges and four-year universities.

South Puget Sound Community College students Nathan Peters and Amanda FiveThunders will be honored at the 2014 All-Washington Academic Team ceremony on Thursday, March 27. Lt. Gov. Brad Owen will be on hand to acknowledge recipients at the 19th annual ceremony, hosted by SPSCC. This year’s team consists of 68 students representing all the state’s 34 community and technical colleges.

Lt. Gov. Brad Owen will be on hand to help honor recipients at the 19th annual 2014 All-Washington Academic Team recognition ceremony on Thursday, March 27. South Puget Sound Community College again hosts the event, which begins at noon at the college’s Student Union Building.
