ADVISORS The Certificates of Achievement in Computerized Manufacturing Technology are offered through a joint partnership between South Puget Sound Community College, New Market Skills Center, and the Pacific Mountain Workforce Development Consortium. Classes are held at New Market Skills Center, 7299 New Market Street SW, Tumwater 98501. Please note that start and end dates run in collaboration with New Market Skills Center academic calendar, and may be different than South Puget Sound Community College’s calendar. Full time students may complete each 19 credit Certificate of Achievement in a minimum of two quarters, if prerequisites are complete. 5 credits of Math 098 Elementary Algebra are required but not part of each certificate of completion. Opportunities These two 19 credit certificates of achievement provide the knowledge and skills for students to design and create products for the manufacturing industry. Students will use MASTERCAM CAD/CAM software to operate three-axis robotic numerical control machines. Training will utilize manufacturing related math, industry blueprint reading, CAD geometry, CAM toolpaths, precision measurement, machine setup and operation, and quality control procedures. |
